Forty samples are taken from each plot. To ensure a regular distribution of the sampling points, the plot is divided into five clusters of five points each, for a total of 25 sampling points per plot.

Between the first sampling campaign 15 years ago and the new campaign, each point was relocated 1.5 metres to the North to avoid re-sampling in a disturbed area. A red and yellow surveyor’s marker identifies each cluster of points so it can be found easily.
